la dee da

dal⋅li⋅ance  [dal-ee-uhns, dal-yuhns]
–noun
1. a trifling away of time; dawdling.
2. amorous toying; flirtation.

hello sun; its me sarah, are you there?

Albert Camus; not only was he a genius writer, but a ruggedly handsome man. Foggy morning spent reading The Plague; dark, sad, morbid, just like the weather. By far, my favorite author.

a fine word

As you enter positions of trust and power, dream a little before you think

-From the genius Toni Morrison

wouldn't ya like to be, my neighbor

im happy; all of our new neighbors have the most vivid, funky houses.

Chaos Knits

So, I recently shot for Reese Herrick's line of Chaos Knits; chunky hand knit head-wear for guys and gals. Keep an eye out for them, for they will be heading to the 'hood soon enough.

soul full

In the words of goddess; Cat Power, transformation is so possible. An intellect, a soul full of sorrow, I am deeply moved by every single one of her songs.

They tell me what they do,
I don't know what they're talking about,
They tell me what they do,
I don't understand what they're talking about,
They're talking about it.
I did not start this conversation,
I don't intend to keep talking about it,
They tell me about it.
Maybe if i pray to the lord above,
I'll get some sleep,
But the lord don't give a shit about me.
They tell me what they do,
How can I help it, how can I help it,
I sure can't shut them up.

grubbin' grubbin, grubbin all day

All of us need to eat, this is not a surprise, but to all those mindless eaters that just pick up this and that off the grocery aisle shelves, take a big gigantic whiff of reality, please.

I recently caught the Food Inc. documentary while it was in town. I'm a huge fan of author's Michael Pollan, and Eric Schlosser, both journalists who dive into the top secret, yes...secret world of the food industry. Both are featured in this documentary, amongst many other of the industry's head honchos. I recommend this eye opening film to anyone who is a little curious as to what lies in their "all beef patty, special sauce, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun" goodness.

fiesta, fiesta

So, i know these two beezies... Carissa and Amy.

And whilst they are the most intelligent, artistic, colorful ladies I know, we always manage to get in the MOST trouble when the three of us are together. Think Drunk Charlie's Angels. Wrecking Havoc in the sreets of San Francisco, flailing our intoxicated bodies, to the beats of nineties pop classics. Basking in the unwelcomed attention of odd commodities (also known is creeper mcgees), admiring our uncensored pelvic gestures.

So my newest project, interviewing the loves in my life. The cool kids. The hooligans. So with that being said, here are a few composed, written sentences I jotted down one lovely night in the glorious glowing auras of Carissa and Amy...

ME: So, Tell me about your outfits tonight...
(Regarding the Mexican Print Linen Dresses They were sporting on Cinco De Mayo)...

AMY: I got my (dress) at Goodwill and hemmed it by myself. Hand stitched. Three Dollars on Haight.
CARISSA: I got mine in the Mission District at Close Contact for no more than ten dollars.

ME: "And, what about this new "business" slash "hobby" you have goin on. A collaboration between the two of you.."

AMY: Our video blog, ITSSOJ.blogspot.com . It's about whatever we fancy...She goes on to mention that "whatever" includes such topics as bras, bodies, sex and drinking. Forget censoring, these girls lay it all out. Truth be Told. By the way, ITSSOJ translates into; Is This Some Sort of Joke?!

ME: "So, basically, GLUTTONY?"

CARISSA: ALL the seven deadly sins in ITSSOJ!

ME: Fave spot in the city?

CARISSA; You can find me down at Ocean Beach, Dolores Park for together times, and Union Square for people watchin' and coffee.

ME: Single and Ready to Mingle?

AMY: Sure! Im having fun...Until I meet someone worth investing time into.
CARISSA: I like to "mingle" (as she giggles). There is no denying the mingle.
ME: I'm in.

ME: What are you listening to right now?
CARISSA: My i-pod is on shuffle; But will always be a No Doubt fanatic. The Tragic Kingdom was heard blasting through the speakers as we cruised through the city later that night.
AMY: On roatation; My Morning Jacket, Fleet Foxes, Kings of Leon, TV on the Radio

Check out their shennanigans, and loose conversations acoompanined by pints of Ben and Jerry's HERE.
