shell series
Excited to see where the seashell series of Goldielockes Designs is headed....I just love working with the raw shapes and textures of the shells, no two are the same. They are treasures give to us by the sea, and they should be worn as a gift of nature.
As March continues on, I will keep creating new designs with shells; Im working on a current necklace series, and of coarse hoops and ringlettes, so check back for updated designs here or in my shop
food photography
If you havent already notcied, I have a fond love for food and for photgraphy as separate crafts. This has organically brought me into the world of food photography. Combining various shapes with colors allows me to have fun in the kitchen, inspire recipies and be around the provider of energy and life to the human body. These shots were taken in my favorite kitchen of all; my beach bungalow in San Francisco.
A charming pink tiled cozy kitchen, the room had the most beautiful natural light coming in from the East every day. It was there, in the bungalow I found my love of mixing and matching jars, spices, fruits and veggies to create a composition of edible portraits....

inspiration: brick interior
I have always been drawn to the warmth and rustic nature of brick interiors. A couple of found images focus on the contrast between beat n' raw (red brick walls, and thick wood benches) against the softness and flowiness of crisp white linens. You cant help but feel the romantic vintage appeal that this room brings.

March to dos
I have been busy gathering inspiration, and raw materials all the whilst working towards a career as a Elementary School Teacher. I start school again in June, and have a few out of town tromps planned before then. A trip back East to visit my mother in Maine, to ski in the fresh powdery snow on Sugarloaf Mountain. In addition to a 25th birthday present to myself to Israel as part of the Birthright Program. I thought what a better way to celebrate a quarter century than to connect with my roots, discover explore and float in the Dead Sea under the warmth of the Mediteranean Sun. I plan on collecting a whole new batch of shells while on the East Coast and the Atlantic Coast.
projects and creativity are in full effect. In addition to my designs, I've been conjuring up ideas of a breezy nude line of ballet pallete dresses and and accessories. A trip to the fabric store is on my to do list, as is the search for a perfect little hole in the wall with raw stones, and beads.

spring and summertime are quickly approaching and ive been inspired by the beach ( duh!) now more than ever. I have decided to take my gorgeous collection of seashells and turn them into a marvelous collection of wearable jewels.

refresher for the masses
a New Year has brought on new inspiration. Now living in the charming neighborhood of Russian Hill along the romantic hyde street cable car line. Living here makes me feel romantic, blooming and full of curiosity. Exploring myself more than ever, and trying to let the inner artist shine every day.
